Microsoft introduced the Spartan browser in Windows 10

Microsoft is developing a new web browser in Windows 10 . As expected, it is known under the code name Project Spartan, and it is something completely different from what we were used to have with the suite of Internet Explorer web browsers.

The company says that Spartan has a new user interface , with a much darker theme, a new reporting engine, and offers new ways to interact with the content online.

The browser will be available for smartphones, tablets and laptops or other computers that do not have a touch screen. Members of Windows Insider program should first be the first to be able to try the browser as soon as the next preview version of Windows 10 will be available for PC. But this new browser will also happen in Windows 10 for smartphones.

The browser has a simple user interface, with a smaller toolbar that gives you more space for web content. In fact, Microsoft has put more emphasis on reading with Spartan : the browser has a read mode to read the content on the web. Microsoft has also included a play list in the browser kernel, which allows porting of content across multiple devices. The playlist can be saved when online, and then be read without you need to be connected to Wi-Fi.

There are tools that allow you to take notes (with a pen or keyboard) on Web pages. In addition, there is a support for viewing PDF files within the browser, without having the need for a third-party plugin.
Cortana is also there
Continuing its central role in the experience of Windows 10, the personal assistant Cortana Microsoft is also integrated into the browser.

Belfiore describes the wizard as a "pop up" when a user will access the utility. He can answer any questions you start typing in the address bar, on the basis of the information it knows about you. Cortana can also evoke directions, information on menus, or other relevant information when you are looking for a Web page to a restaurant, for example.

The Spartan Project will not happen on the mobile version immediately says Belfiore. It will land on PC first, but not the first build, which will be available next week.
