On the eve of the opening of the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, LG has announced its new line of mid-range smartphone that it will present at the MWC next month. The new range includes four smartphones Magna, Spirit, Leon, and Joy. As you can see, LG seems to have changed its naming convention for models this year. The newly announced smartphones all come with 4G LTE and 3G connectivity (availability according to region), supporting strategic efforts LG emerging markets, where the nature of the different telephone networks.

The first is the LG Magna, which "ultimate" in Latin means. It has a 5-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which gives it a pixel density of 294 ppi. Magna is powered by either a quad processor running at 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz, and includes 1GB of RAM. It has 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded in the future with a micro SD card. LG boasts touch technology-based In-Cell screen as the culmination of the device, and claims it offers better tactility and faster recognition with better external visibility.
Magna will come with a camera 8 megapixel rear camera and a front camera of 5 megapixels in the front. The battery has a capacity of 2540 mAh and is removable.
Android 5.0 Lollipop will be available out of the box, and the famous LG overlay extra. Its dimensions are 139.7 x 69.9 x 10.2 mm.
The LG Sprit is the second smartphone from the new range, and it is similar to Magna in most areas. It also has a touch-based technology In-Cell screen, but a smaller 4.7-inch with the same HD resolution. This gives a slightly higher density of pixels with 312 dpi. It is also powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz, and comes with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage. The front and rear cameras are also identical. However, for the battery, the Sprit is slightly less impressive since it comes with only a battery capacity of 2100 mAh. It also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Its dimensions are 133.3 x 66.1 x 9.9 mm.
Then there is the LG Leon that is targeted at the lower end of the midrange. It comes in a premium chassis that seems to have taken the lines of the flagship smartphone of the company, the G3. It is also compact enough for a smartphone in its class. The Leon has a 4.5 inch FWVGA screen with a pixel density of 220 ppi. The internal components are similar to other smartphones in the range - Quad processor 1.2 or 1.3 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a rear 8-megapixel camera and a front camera of 5 megapixels. 3G variant of Leon arrive a VGA front camera, instead of 5 megapixels on the LTE model. It includes a battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, and come with the latest version of Android. Its dimensions are 129.9 x 64.9 x 10.9 mm.

LTE variant of Joy will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, and includes 1GB of RAM. The onboard storage on the LTE model is 8GB. Regarding 3G variant, it will have a dual-core chip clocked at 1.2 GHz and come with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage internal. The rear camera will come with a resolution of 5 megapixels, while the front camera has VGA resolution. Unfortunately, it seems that only the LTE variant of Joy will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop while the 3G model will come with Android 4.4 KitKat.
