While we're at J-1 to open the doors of the world's largest exhibition for the mobile Barcelona, Mobile World Congress , Acer has unveiled a new range of smartphones and an object connected to the MWC. The M220 is a Liquid entry-level device, whose characteristic is to offer Windows Phone 8.1.

This is the first series of liquid to exploit the Windows Phone 8.1 system. ST Liew, Chairman of the Smartphone Business Group, Acer, said that "the time is right for Acer joining the Windows Phone ecosystem, given its growing popularity and homogeneity between phones and computers" .
He was joined by a trio of Android devices, the Liquid Jade Z, the Z220 and Z520. Finally, Acer also had the good idea to present a brand new bracelet connected, the Liquid + Leap.
Acer Liquid M220
Among the first devices announced, we have the model of mid-range, Liquid M220, running Windows Phone 8.1 , but ready to receive the update to Windows 10. This is a small device with a 4 inch screen having a pixel density of 233 ppi. It has a camera of 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera to delight all lovers of selfies. Note that this camera can also be triggered by voice.
At the rear, there is a strange texture Acer boasts as a shell that is decorated with a pattern reminiscent of silk from Thailand.
Windows Phone 8.1 allows the Liquid M220 to be used and customized very easily. It is fully compatible with Microsoft applications and services, such OneDrive, Skype, Office and, of course, Cortana.
It is available in black or white (Mystic Black and Pure White), and it also has corrugated sides for better grip. The Liquid M220 will be available in April in some retailers at a price of 79 euros .
Acer Liquid Jade Z
This is an inexpensive alternative to Liquid Jade S which goes on sale in Europe in March for 200 euros. This is actually a smartphone with a same screen size, with the same five-inch screen. But the octa-core processor has been abandoned for a quad processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, a 64-bit MediaTek chip.
There is also a rear camera of 13 megapixels and a front camera of 5 megapixels. With a thickness of 7.9 mm and a weight of 120 g, it seems very light and equally thin in hand. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, but it should get Android 5.0 Lollipop on time.
It is available in two colors, with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, or with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Two other affordable Android smartphones KitKat were also unveiled the Z220 and Z520, which have 4 and 5-inch screens respectively. The resolution on the Z520 is 900 x 480 pixels, has 1 GB of RAM and a quad processor MediaTek. There is a main camera of 8 megapixels and a front camera of 2 megapixels. The Z220 has a WVGA screen, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel front camera.
The Z220 will be available in France in late March at a price of 89 euros, while the Z520 will be available in France in late March at a price of 119 euros .
Acer Liquid Leap +
This smart brand logged bracelet entry Acer in the market for connected objects . This is a bracelet dedicated to all those who want to keep track of their physical activity, and it has a 1-inch OLED display. You will be able to track your steps, your sleep, your distance traveled and calories burned. It is a platform agnostic so it offers support for notifications of various devices, whether Android, iOS or Windows.
You can set alarms and control your music. In addition, notifications received on the bracelet avoid to miss an important e-mail, appointment or SMS. It is also waterproof as evidenced by its index IPX7 protection. You can also remove the bracelet display, and pair it with a range of different colored bracelets available in black, pink or green (Black Charcoal Black, Pink Fuchsia Pink and Green Lime Green).
The technology of Liquid connected Leap + communicates with the Acer Leap Manager application and your Android smartphone, Windows or iOS by Low Energy Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
