According to the Chinese IT site cnBeta this giant model is being developed alongside the traditional version of the Surface Pro 12-inch. Both models would have an impressive resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels , such as the Surface 3 Pro.

These new models should have an Intel Core processor based on the M Broadwell architecture rather than Intel Core i5 and Core i7 variants, the dual-core chips based on the Haswell architecture. This chip Broadwell allow Microsoft to market a Surface Pro 4 fanless, making it silent, at the expense of raw power. This would be the same chip that Apple decided to embark on his new MacBook.

Large memory capacity
Other suggested features include 8 or 16 GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage .

The rumors surrounding the Apple iPad Pro suggest that the giant tablet from the Cupertino company would have been delayed until September, due to production problems related to its 12.9-inch screen. It could happen alongside the new generation iPhone.

Microsoft is also expected to launch a Surface Pro Mini later this year , and it is possible that this tablet is launched at the same time as the new Surface Pro. The hypothetical Surface Pro Mini could have an 8-inch screen and a processor "powerful" and could in turn compete with tablets like the iPad mini or the Nexus 9.

For now, there are no details on the exact date of the launch of Microsoft's new tablet, although the device is rumored to be launched around the month of July. Anyway, Microsoft will launch Windows 10 later this year, which will be a major update of the operating system for desktop computers and mobile devices. The company could benefit from this launch to highlight this new OS with its own devices.
