Dropbox has just launched a new note-taking tool

And his name should not surprise you.

Dropbox has arrived on the market on 1 September 2008 and he had no trouble finding its audience.

In fact, he even drew in her lap millions of users over the years. The box works hard, and you will probably be surprised to learn that she is currently valued at over $ 10 billion.

The service has grown considerably over time and Dropbox even signed recently an agreement with Microsoft to integrate Office 365 into its platform. All persons with a license and can open their documents in Word, Excel, Powerpoint or even in a few clicks.

A simple interface and functions focused on teamwork

Convenient, but the small American box wants to go even further and has just lifted the veil on a new tool focused on taking notes: Notes Dropbox.

However, be careful not to celebrate too soon because the latter is only available in private beta. The good side of it is that it just go to this address dropbox.com/notes to request an invitation.

I have not yet had the honor to test it, unfortunately. However, if one believes Techcrunch , then the service would feature a minimalist interface and accessible, while heavily loaded with collaborative features.

Dropbox have also implemented several keyboard shortcuts to facilitate the formatting of the text, with all the usual options. It would therefore be possible to play with the style of our texts, but also to put words or bold or italicized phrases.

The routine, in fact.

Be careful though because the idea it does not offer as comprehensive a tool as Word or Pages. Notes Dropbox get nearer a Evernote. The question is whether it will have sufficient arguments to distract us from other market solutions.
