The HP Sprout is a truly unique computer because it offers a technology that is used nowhere else for the general public. It offers a touch projection system and 3D digitization, but this little gem at a price ... 2499 euros! A little high even for a complete computer.

HP unveils latest Sprout, a revolutionary PC

Looking at the HP computer Sprout, we immediately understand that we are not dealing with a traditional PC. One immediately notices the top of the screen, a projection which is actually called HP illuminator. This is a projector and a desk lamp. The device is equipped with 4 cameras: an infrared, RGB, a RealSence and 14 megapixels. With such equipment, while a PC is able to perform its primary function, the scanning object in 2D or 3D.

The Sprout can therefore scan any object in 30 seconds and then allows to handle it on his carpet or on the screen very easily. The touch pad is 20 inches and runs the touch, making the experience really bluffing. For example it is possible to play the piano in this way, or to shape objects. The screen of Sprout is a 23 inch Full HD touchscreen.

A powerful PC to complete common tasks

The HP Sprout however did everything that a traditional PC, it has to do what a Full HD 23-inch touch screen, an Intel Core i7 4790S and a quad-core chip (8 threads) clocked 3.2 GHz, supported by 8GB of RAM. The graphics chip is an Nvidia GeForce GT 745A. Side storage, the Sprout features 1TB, with a hybrid drive with 8 GB of flash memory. The PC runs Windows 8 and has a memory card reader, many USB ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an HD webcam and integrated speakers.

The only two points which one could blame this excellent PC from HP, this might be the graphics card a bit light for extensive use in the field of graphic design, especially for a computer that has the vocation to handle 3D objects. The other downside is its price, which is still 2499 euros.
