A study commissioned by the UK feelunique.com on a group of 2000 women aged 16 to 25 revealed that selfie shooting rate was on average 3 times a day.
The preparation and testing would take on average 16 minutes. Thus, a person can easily "lose" more than 5 hours a week because of selfies.
Is it only narcissism question? The answer is not simple. Sometimes it is mainly a question of ego.
Indeed, 22% of respondents indicated that they would take selfies and share them on social networks mainly to obtain likes to boost their ego and feel better.
Moreover, for some respondents, a picture can quickly be removed from social networks if it does not have sufficient likes.
The search for a new romantic relationship can also be the cause of a selfie.
This is suggested by the study that a third of respondents use the most sexy photos to attract potential partners of attention. Others (1/5) are also using sexy pictures or "suggestive" in the hope of provoking a sense of regret in a former, in a spirit of vengeance.
Take selfies to analyze its appearance , as would also be one of the motivations of 4 out of 10 respondents.
