Microsoft: Android and iOS versions of Cortana are official

The version for Android will be also available this June. For the iOS version of Cortana, it will take a little longer.

As explained by Microsoft in his blog post, Cortana these applications will be able to perform most of the tasks you perform with the virtual assistant on mobile computers or Windows 10.



However, since it will be an application and not a feature of the OS, it will have some limitations compared to the Windows 10 version especially because of access problems. Thus, it will for example not possible on Android and iOS launch the virtual assistant a free hand by saying "Hey Cortana."

Otherwise reminder, Cortana will not only present on the mobile versions of Windows 10 but also on computers. And as was announced quite recently, it will also be integrated with Edge browser.
