BlackBerry Oslo: a copy of the BlackBerry Passport?

While BlackBerry unveiled the Passport only last September, the Canadian company seems poised to unveil its successor this summer. If one believes the images obtained by N4BB, it seems that BlackBerry already has a second square PHABLET with a physical keyboard, strongly resembling the first game.

Dubbed the BlackBerry Oslo , which is probably his code name instead of the name of the final product, the smartphone seen in the pictures is much like the unit we saw last April. The Oslo seems to have a metal frame, and three rows of physical keys just below the 4.5-inch square screen with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels.

According to the speculations surrounding Oslo, it will have 801 Snapdragon processor quad clocked at 2.2Ghz, coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is also a battery of 3450 mAh which should provide decent battery to the device. Finally, a camera of 13 megapixels is inlaid on the back cover. The device would work BlackBerry OS 10.3.2.

A simple upgrade
If these specifications sound familiar, it's simply because the BlackBerry Passport has many of the same internal components, suggesting that Oslo is further upgrading a completely different smartphone . BlackBerry could therefore follow a trend that other major manufacturers lead each year. According to previous rumors, the Oslo could make its appearance this month, and released shortly thereafter in Europe and Asia.

It should be a surprise to anyone that BlackBerry decides to rely on the design of the Passport, as the company CEO, John Chen, revealed that we would see at least one more generation of PHABLET the company.

Personally, I'm more excited about the fact of seeing a brand smartphone with a sliding physical keyboard rather than an upgrade of PHABLET of the firm.
