Apple released two patents related to iOS, which could provide users the ability to send real-time tracking of notifications, and track users within a building.

Described by AppleInsider , who found both patents released Thursday after having been filed in December 2013, as a new feature within the application Find My Friends (Find My Friends), the patent entitled "Customization rent notification" ("notification Location of customization ") allows users to request notifications according to the movements of your friend or family members. In other words, this means that users would be able to choose to share information about their location with their loved ones.
If the request is accepted, the first user will receive a personalized notification by SMS, email or any "other form of communication" - one can well imagine that a notification sent to Apple Watch user .
The georeferenced areas can also be selected, so that when you and your iDevice will enter this area, your device will be able to broadcast a notification to the person with whom you share your position - what appears to be a more advanced feature what we had hitherto Find My Friends.
Leveraging ibeacon?
The other patent, entitled "Indoor remote triggered rent scanning", describes technology that would allow the user to be tracked inside buildings . This patent could use "nodes" or interior antennas (essentially the same technology used in Apple ibeacon technology), which can triangulate the location of your device even when you are moving.
Although the technologies for both patents are a bit scary, we can also imagine how they could be beneficial. Sending geolocation notifications may become an easier way to fix an appointment, without having to send SMS. This would be a safer alternative than SMS while driving.
At present, it is unclear whether Apple will build on these patents to improve its service, but maybe that technology is for iPhone or iPhone 6S 7.
