If you were not a backer of the popular Kickstarter campaign dedicated to Pebble Time, I have good news: Pebble has opened the floodgates for pre-orders, worldwide, its second smartwatch generation, Time.

While Kickstarter backers have already had seen their connected shipped watch, everyone can now pre-order the latest Pebble directly on Best Buy for residents in the United States, or the online store Pebble for International. The first deliveries are expected to begin in July, although they may still vary.

Less expensive than most of its competitors, the Pebble Time is priced at 249 euros, and is available in black, red and white.

Time for Steel will have to wait
The Pebble Time is one of two new versions of the smartwatch running the latest OS of the firm, and enjoying a color screen. The second athe Pebble Time Steel, which will be sent to Kickstarter backers later, and with pre-orders will also begin later this year. So if you want a stainless steel frame instead of plastic, it might be best to wait a few more months.

Remember that the Pebble Time uses a new paradigm of interaction based on a chronology of events, allowing you to take a look at the events that will happen, as well as back at what has already happened, and at any time of the day. The Pebble Time works with iOS and Android devices, although it will offer more functionality for users of that platform.

Pebble is launching the second generation connected device in a market that has seen many changes since the first product made its debut . At the time, Apple Watch arrived on the market, but Android smartwatches Wear multiplied. If the Kickstarter campaign has shown that Pebble is still very popular, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the consumer market reacts.
