Would you buy a ThinkPad with modern retro design?

There is no brand in the PC world as popular as the ThinkPad. Originally introduced in 1992, it has since been constantly changing. Two key notebook of the brand - the T series and X series - have carried high the standard of this one. Everyone has been updated year after year since their debut in 2000.

Nowadays, laptops become thinner and lighter. But it also means that they will lose some of the features that were popular 20 years ago. Lenovo still sells some laptops with traditional pointing feature of the company in the center of the keyboard. But David Hill, CEO of Lenovo, wants to know if you are interested in a modern ThinkPad laptop with a truly retro design.

If he has posted some images of what a retro ThinkPad might look like, he does not promise that the company will build one . But what separates this hypothetical ThinkPad models that are currently on the market?

Here are some of the features:

• ThinkPad logo multicolor
• Keypad 7 rows
• Screen at 16:10
• Buttons dedicated volume controls
• A rubberized paint
• Exposed screws
• An LED to indicate status
• Button Blue Input

The concept also includes two "Thinklight lights" above the screen that could shine to illuminate the keyboard when you type in the dark rather than a backlit keyboard. The ThinkPad retro has some modern touches: it is only 18 mm thick, 56 mm rather than in old album.

While Lenovo is not yet ready to invest time and money in this retro pattern , Hill projected that it could be a lot of demands if such product was launched.
