If you are worried about the Stagefright flaw, there are ways to check whether your smartphone is affected.

How to tell if your smartphone is vulnerable to the bug Stagefright

  • The first thing to do is download the application Stagefright Detector on the Google Play Store
  • Once the application is installed, click the "Begin analysis" button. Therefore, the tool will analyze your smartphone to see if you are vulnerable
  • If you see the red message "Vulnerable", go to "Settings> About smartphone> Software Updates" to see if you have the opportunity to receive an update that would solve the problem
  • If you are vulnerable, I recommend you not to open the video for MMS strange numbers, and cut off the automatic retrieval of SMS when using Hangouts, if it is defined as the main messages application
So far, there is no quick solution to ensure that you are protected , and it will be armed with patience and prudence.
