Since June the company DxO Labs announced the upcoming release of a camera module dedicated to iPhone. DxO One is already marketed in the United States and now arrives in France, it was designed to supplant the photo function of iPhone.
DxO One, self-image module for iPhone
DxO One is a small module on rounded edges, 6.8 cm by 4.9 cm and 2.6 cm thick and weighs 108g. Its size makes it very easy to handle and carry in pocket jeans for example. DxO One has a BSI CMOS sensor of 20.2 megapixels in size 1 inch. The CMOS is also associated with 6 fixed focal elements, equivalent to 32mm with autofocus. Small problem for this module, it has no zoom, it will be possible to zoom by cropping in 20.2 megapixels. Regarding autonomy, the DxO One integrates its own rechargeable battery, which is not very enduring as it does not exceed 200 views. To adjust the flash, the aim of framing, geolocation, etc. it will go through the smartphone on which the DxO One is connected.
One DxO default save your images in RAW format and record your videos stabilized 1080p / 30im / s or 720p / 120im / s. Moreover, complement the integrated microSD slot, you can save your photos and movies on film iOS so you share them instantly on your social networking accounts.
