Google Photos will soon become smarter

Anil Sabharwal, vice president of Google Photos, benefited from an interview conducted by BuzzFeed to discuss the next service functions.



Photos Google has just celebrated its first birthday and his vice president is on cloud nine. According to Anil Sabharwal, the service would in fact used by over 200 million users worldwide, or 100 million more than in October.

Anil Sabharwal and his team does not intend to stop there and so they are working on several features that will be included in the service and application in the coming months.

They include working on new algorithms to automatically identify and remove spoiled pictures, blurry or duplicated so as not to clutter the user albums. Same for the assistant who should soon be able to distinguish the most important shots for the highlight in assemblies generated through it.

Future versions of Google Photos also will focus more on sharing and the firm works including a function similar to AirDrop to enable a user to share photos with computers and terminals located around it.
