At the Computex (the equivalent for computers Mobile World Congress, in some ways), Microsoft has announced that Hello is now an open platform for connected devices manufacturers.
As explained by our colleagues from Engadget, the Windows Hello Companion Device Framework that Microsoft has decided to open to other companies. And in essence, thanks to this, manufacturers of accessories connected as Withings or Peeble will ensure that their products enable users of Windows 10 to unlock their computers. But of course, this will not be limited to smartwatches.

On stage, a Microsoft employee made a demonstration with a bracelet "nymi" to illustrate the novelty. Such functionality will appeal definitely a part of the general public, but it also may not be interested business badly.
And if the firm has not indicated specific timetable, many techno media are willing to bet that the launch of this feature is going to do with that of the Aniversary Update for Windows 10, a major update to celebrate first year of the new operating system.
Otherwise, Microsoft is also testing a new version of its "Authenticator" application that would allow users of Windows 10 Mobile to unlock their computers with their smartphones.
